Making maple syrup is a family tradition for the Lariviere family. It all started with Napoleon Lariviere in the early 1900s. In northern Maine, in a remote area near the Canadian border, Napoleon ran a small sugar camp. It was the beginning that led to today’s Maine Maple Products Inc.
The business has grown and implemented technological advances over the years as each, new generation of Larivieres brings its own special touch to the business. The Larivieres were the largest producers of maple syrup in the state of Maine. 1993 brought the opportunity to purchase Maine Maple Products, the largest packer and distributor of maple syrup, offering the Lariviere family the opportunity to expand their maple syrup enterprise.
